Here’s what you need to know before signing up:
The following is based on the Basic Plan in which you decide which host family you would like to be matched with by yourself.
If you would like our staff to arrange a recommended host family for you, please indicate “arrangement request” on your application.
Arrangement requests are subject to a 15% commission on the sales price plus an additional ¥5,000 commission when a match is made.

Start the Conversation
Once your offer is sent, you can chat directly with the host family via WhatsApp.
(Offers are non-binding—both sides confirm if it’s a good fit.)
Plan Together
Chat with the host family and our team in a group chat to decide on the date, restaurant, and budget.
Changes to the original plan are totally fine—just discuss and agree together!
Preparations for the day of the event
Make your payment via a secure link at least 2 days before the event.
You can also get to know the family better on WhatsApp—say hi, share your food preferences, and build a friendly connection!

About payment
01
The meal costs for the plans listed in the plan list are approximate amounts.
After making an offer to a Japanese host family, the final price will be decided by mutual agreement.

After the amount to be paid is determined, the tourist family must settle the payment at least two days prior to the day of the event through the page provided by the operation office.
A 15% service fee will be added to the sales price.

If you exceed the pre-agreed fee due to ordering a larger-than-expected amount of food on the day, please discuss the payment of the excess amount with the Japanese host family on site.
Support
We offer a variety of support so that even if it is your first time traveling to Japan, you can enjoy your trip with peace of mind.
Advance notice
You can contact the Japanese family in advance via WhatsApp, helping to ease any concerns.
Mutual Profile Feature
You can find out in advance about the family structure and hobbies of Japanese families.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and refunds are possible up until midnight the day before. If the cancellation is made by Japanese family, refunds will be given even on the day of the event.
Troubleshooting
If any payment trouble occurs, the MFB office will handle and compensate you in accordance with the terms of use.

Q. Are there any requirements for registration?
We welcome all families with children who agree with the purpose of our service and are willing to actively enjoy interacting with our Japanese hosts.
・About meals
Q. How long does it take?
A meal usually takes about two hours. However, it may vary depending on the events planned by the host.
・Cancellation / Change
Q. If the meal is cancelled for the host's convenience, is there any compensation?
We regret to inform you that we do not plan to compensate guests for cancellations, even if the cancellation is due to the host's reasons, taking into consideration that the current beta version of the service is a free trial without any fees.
